Cita inspiradora: Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz

Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz (1648-1695) was an AMAZING writer, poet, philosopher, composer, and nun who lived in Mexico, which was then known as Nueva España.

Her writings are frequently classified today as intersectional feminist works, as she fiercely criticized a society that denied women and people of indigenous heritage the right to an education and other basic human rights.

This quote is Señora Rae’s favorite of all time because it speaks volumes about how the knowledge you have means nothing if you look away from the injustices in the world. In a broader sense, it means that accumulating anything – money, power, privilege, knowledge – should never be the goal. Using what you do have to help others should be!
